Dental Implants
Osseointegrated Implants:
Dental implants are titanium screws placed in the mandibular and/or maxillary bone to replace the root of a lost tooth. Once integrated into the jawbone, they allow for the secure installation of fixed teeth, achieving up to 97% success.
They offer firmness, do not come loose during chewing, and leave the smile more natural than traditional bridges or dentures.
Why titanium?
Titanium is widely used in orthopedics because it does not corrode in the human body and does not cause immunological rejection.
Indications and Contraindications:
Implants are only contraindicated in two situations:
- Specific systemic health conditions.
- Insufficient bone height or thickness for the implant.
Age:
From puberty onwards, anyone can receive implants; there is no upper age limit.
High-Precision Digital Planning Implants:
We exclusively use Nobel Biocare implants, internationally recognized for their quality, innovation, and reliability. This is a Swedish company, a world leader in implantology, with solutions based on scientific evidence and high technological standards.
With the help of the Nobel Clinician DTS Implant Studio, we perform three-dimensional implant planning with micrometric precision. This technology allows for detailed visualization of the remaining bone, enabling implant placement in areas where many professionals encounter limitations.
In most cases, we perform the surgery and install the prosthesis the very next day, ensuring speed and comfort for the patient. When necessary, we use Swiss Geistlich grafts for alveolar preservation, complementing the bone structure immediately after extraction and avoiding more invasive procedures, such as maxillary sinus lift or posterior mandibular bone regeneration, treatments that typically require about 6 months before implant placement and another 3 months for the prosthesis.
With our advanced approach, the patient receives an immediate cast bar permanent prosthesis the day after surgery, ensuring function and aesthetics from the start of treatment. After the healing period, we deliver the final metal-ceramic prosthesis, offering stability, strength, and naturalness.
Protocol-type prosthesis: Branemark
A protocol-type prosthesis is a fixed full prosthesis, installed on 4 to 8 implants.
It is screwed in (only the dentist can remove it), has excellent aesthetics, and replaces dentures with much more comfort and stability.
It can be made of resin or porcelain.
Longevity of Implants:
With daily care and professional monitoring, problems are rare.
Many patients keep their implants healthy for many years.
Over time, care becomes natural and everything gets easier.
