Brushing Technique
Gum Health and Periodontitis Prevention
Brushing: The Correct Technique for a Healthy Smile
The toothbrush must be extra soft with a small head;
Effective brushing begins with a small amount of toothpaste (about the size of a pea) and using a dry toothbrush.
Rail Technique: A True Bass Technique
This technique involves shifting the focus from the teeth to the gums;
Place the brush at the gum-tooth junction, the correct location for concentrating the bristles, following the gum line like a “path”.
Stop and knead the bristles without moving the brush: this ensures maximum efficiency.
Perform a gentle massage to strengthen the gum tissue.
Maintain a 45° angle towards the gums and knead.
Recommended time: approximately 2 minutes, with 2 turns on the upper track and 2 turns on the lower track.
Dental Floss:
Use once a day, thoroughly, preferably at night.
Support it on your middle finger as a base and hold it with your index finger and thumb, keeping the floss close to the tooth (not between the teeth) and taking care not to cut the gum.
Interdental Brushes:
Evolution of dental floss, becoming more effective and cleaning better, necessary for daily use.
Tongue Hygiene:
Brush the middle part of the tongue at the end of each brushing.
This ensures fresh breath and a good sense of taste.
The tip of the tongue should touch the tongue rail: at the end, it should always be smooth, as if after polishing.
